Invisible Women: female medics insisting on having female hands

Well hello there my dear GFPs! I hope you all misbehaved while I was away last week. As you can see, I put the time to good use...

Invisible Women: because of course, women don't drive

Helloooo GFPs! Big week at IW HQ this week as I got some real world proof of the impact Invisible Women has been having on the research world -- see this week's gender data gap for more details. I couldn't be more delighted to see researchers taking on the message of my thesis and, most importantly, acting on it by collecting sex disaggregated data -- and then analysing that data by sex. This is the first step to fixing the multitude of ways in which our world has been designed for men to the serious detriment of women's health and lives. It's an incredible win.In other news, just a quick heads-up that there will be no newsletter next Monday as this week I am travelling to five cities in four days 😱. It's all in service of the podcast whose launch date is getting ever closer 😱😱 😱So anyway, I'm pretty sure I won't have time to write up a newsletter -- I promise it will be worth it when the podcast comes out! Plus this has turned out to be a bit of a bumper edition, so plenty to keep you going for two weeks!

Invisible Women: The Hermunculus

Helloooo GFPs! And welcome to your default female oasis in a default male world. I am your host, CCP The Generally Quite Annoyed. This week I am annoyed by data gaps in the genitals (read on!) and sexist AI, but cheered by men queuing for the toilet (truly, one of life's greatest pleasures, second only to pockets) and confused by some gardening trousers. Lots to get through -- let's dive right in...

Invisible Women: "Boys don’t want to read books about women"

Hellooooo GFPs! And how are you this fine morning? Nothing extraneous to report this week. The research for the podcast is going GREAT GUNS and I'm increasingly more EXCITED than TERRIFIED of releasing it into the wild. Other than that I have basically achieved nothing, so let's move swiftly along into the main meat of the newsletter shall we? 😘

Invisible Women: celebrating men

Hello there GFPs! And did you have a fun International Women's Day? Has the Bias been Broken? I must say I did rather enjoy the sterling work of the Gender Pay Gap bot which quote tweeted every employer that tweeted about IWD with the hourly gender pay gap in that organisation
